Abstract
To identify the load bearing capacity of concrete curved girder bridge under various fixed restrictions and the rational type of fixed restraint suitable to the height of piers, against the background of a concrete curved girder bridge, the finite element method was used to analyze the effects of two boundary conditions of pier-girder cast-in-situ fixation and fixed pot bearing on the load bearing capacity of curved girder bridge with piers of various heights. The results of the calculation indicate that the pier-girder cast-in-situ fixation, compared with fixed pot bearings, givesrise to more rational torsion of the main girder and well controls the radial displacement of the main girder;in order to make the load bearing capacity of the bridge pier more rational,it is better to choose the fixed boundary of pier-girder cast-in-situ fixation for the curved girder bridge with high-rise piers(the height of pier for this study is above 8 m),and the fixed boundary of fixed bearing to the curved girder bridge with low piers;to optimize the torsion of the main girder and abate the burden of piers, the lateral pre-eccentricity in the radial direction is suggested to be set when the fixed bearings are used.
