Abstract
Nonverbal communication is an essential component of human verbal communication. It can express something difficult, intention and feelings. The ultimate purpose of foreign language teaching is the ability of language communication. It is necessary for both teachers and students to arouse verbal and nonverbal knowledge in language teaching and learning ,then gives the feedback of verbal and nonverbal communication. The essay aims at introduction and application of nonverbal communication (body language, gestures, paralanguage and space language) and shows the great important roles of nonverbal communication in foreign language teaching.
