Clinical observation of "Jianpi Decoction" and interferon α-2b in treating 60 cases of chronic hepatitis B with positive HBeAg

Abstract

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Jianpi Decoction and interferon α-2b in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B with positive HBeAg.Methods One hundred and twenty subjects were randomized into two groups:control group in which 60 cases were treated by interferon α-2b alone and treatment group in which 60 cases were treated by Jianpi Decoction and interferon α-2b,with a course of 6 months.Results The clinical efficacy was better in the treatment group than in the control group(P0.05);the ALT normalization rate,negative transformation of HBeAg and HBV-DNA and symptom score were improved more significantly in the treatment group than in the control group(P0.01,P0.05);and the side effects were less in the treatment group than in the control group(P0.01,P0.05).Conclusion Jianpi Decoction can help interferon α-2b fight against hepatitis virus and reduce its side effects.
