Abstract
This paper put forward the mechanism,principles,standards and methods deciding the water level on the flood control through researching the characteristics of hydrological and flood control of Liaohe main stream.Taking the highest water level and biggest peak discharge as warning level,the computation module and verified method are set up.Based on the analysis on characteristics of flood,control standards of the embankment engineering and economic condition,the warning level of main stream of Liaohe River is proposed.On the other hand,the stability of water level is set up according to the design of the embankment.
