Abstract

[Objective]To analyze HIV/AIDS epidemic characteristics and influencing factors in Shandong Province and put forward a scientific basis for controlling the transmission of HIV/AIDS.[Methods]According to the data of surveillance reports on HIV/AIDS in 2005,Execl database was established and statistical analysis of data were performed with the use of SPSS 11.5.[Results]406 HIV infected cases were found in 2005,which was 2.4 times than last year.The ratio of male to female was 198:208,and the female cases exceeded the male.The age between 20 and 39 years old accounted for 75.9%(308).Of all the HIV infections,69.2% were peasantry.The epidemic was diffusing from the high-risk people to the general population.[Conclusion]The epidemic of HIV/AIDS is still on rise in Shandong Province.The situation is rigorous and effective measures should be taken to prevent and control HIV/AIDS epidemic.
