An Exploration of the Innovation in EFL Education within Higher Education in China in the Context of Workplace Globalization

It is agreed by both employers and higher education institutions that in the context of workplace globalization graduates are now expected to leave school with high skills in English speaking and writing. However, the past years have seen many Chinese college graduates, especially the non-English majors, leave school ill-equipped with such skills. The authors highlight that innovation should be made to the current EFL education within higher education in China to improve the said situation. This paper is written in an attempt to compose a model for the innovation in the context of international economy globalization and workplace globalization.
