Abstract
Adopting chemical reduction, fine silver powder was prepared by dropping silver nitrate solution into ascorbic acid solution containing polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP)as dispersant. The influences of pH,concentration of silver nitrate and ascorbic acid solution, dosage of polyvinylpyrrolidone, reducing temperature, stirring speed and dropping speed of silver nitrate solution on the silver particle size were inspected. The chemical composition and morphology of silver powder were characterized by x-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy respectively.
