Abstract

Biosorption of heavy metal has wide applications. The mechanisms of heavy metal biosorption, including complexation, ion exchange, microprecipitation and oxidation reduction, are presented.Thermodynamics and dynamics of biosorption are also discussed.Key factors of influencing biosorption, such as pH values, coexistence ions and temperature are explained. The research directions are explored.
