Abstract
Objective To investigate the prevalence and predictors of renal arterial stenosis(RAS) in patients underwent coronary angiography. Methods 235 patients underwent coronary angiography were included in the study. Selective renal angiography was performed after selective coronary angiography. Luminal stenosis≥50% was defined as significant coronary stenosis. Results The prevalence of RAS in all 235 patients was 19.1%. Significant RAS, defined as a narrowing of the diameter by more than 50%, was identified in 43(32.1%) of 134 patients with significant coronary stenosis (≥50%) and 2(2.0%) of 101 patients without significant coronary artery stenosis (50%). Univariate and multivariate regression analysis revealed that the severity of coronary artery disease, serum creatinine (Scr) ≥115μmol/L, and calcification of aortic valve were independent predictive factors of RAS.Conclusions The prevalence of RAS was higher in patients with significant coronary stenosis, especially in patients with multi-coronary artery disease, calcification of aortic valve, and/or Scr≥115μmol/L.
