Abstract

With high sugar watermelon strain garden female parent and low sugar watermelon strain LSW-177 cross combinations, for material preparation measure the watermelon fruit edge and center part of sucrose, fructose and glucose levels, using main gene + more hybrid genetic model generation joint analysis method, to obtain six generation group(P1, P2, F1, F2, BC1P1, BC1P2) of the soluble sugar content on the edge of the watermelon fruit and central parts of genetic characteristics. The results showed that the watermelon fruit different soluble sugar content in the genetic model, different parts of the same genetic model of soluble sugar content was not necessarily the same. The genetic models of edge of sucrose, middle of sucrose, edges of fructose, middle of fructose, edge of glucose, middle of glucose were D-1, E-4, C-0, C-0, D-2, E-3,respectively, all give priority to the number of gene + more traits genetic model.
