Abstract

Objective To investigate the antibiotic resistance conditions and analyze the integrons in Acinetobacter Baumannii isolated from our hospital. Methods K-B tests were performed to detect the susceptibility of 12 kinds of antimicrobial agents against 68 strains of Acinetobacter Baumannii.Integrons were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction(PCR) and DNA sequencing. Results The resistant rates of cefoperazone/sulbactam and ampicillin/ sulbactam were 20.6% and 47.1% respectively, while the resistant rates of imipenem and meropenem were 77.9% and 75% respectively. The resistant rates of other antimicrobial agents were all more than 70%.Integrons were amplified successfully in 36 of 68 strain of Acinetobacter Baumannii. And the PCR products were 2.9k-bp long and contained the aacA4 gene,catB8 gene and addA1 gene. Conclusions The integrons in Acinetobacter Baumannii isolated from our hospital mediated the resistance to aminoglycosides and chloramphenicol.
