Abstract

Objective:To investigate the efficacy of the combined of grafting materials composed of homologuous bone matrix gelatin (BMG) and autologuous red bone marrow and allograft in repairing bony cavity defect produced by benign bone tumor. Methods:Seventy-six patients with benign tumor or phymatoid lesion were studied, all cases were treated with curettage or segmental resection, the post-operative bony defect sites were filled with the combined of grafting materials. Results: All cases were followed up from 5 months to 16 months,74 cases achieved a solid union with good joint function without complication and obvious immunologic rejection. Conclusion: It suggests that the combined of grafting materials can efficiently repair bony defect and has great potential for clinical use.
