Comparison of the effect of Vitapex and iodoform-zinc oxide eugenol paste on periapical periodontitis of deciduous teeth

Abstract

AIM:To compare the curative effect of vitapex and iodoform zinc oxide eugenol paste on periapical periodontitis of deciduous teeth.METHODS:Root canal therapy was routinely carried out with two different root canal fillitg pastes and the curative effect was evaluated after 1-year follouing up.RESULTS:Compared with iodoform zinc oxide eugenol paste,vitapex has more stable and satisfying curative effect,especially for deciduons molars.CONCLUSION:vitapex is better than iodofrom zinc oxide eugenol paste in treating periapical periodontitis of deciduous teeth,and it will be the prior choice in clinical treatment.
