Abstract

Constructivism,as one of the latest teaching theories in the reform of international education,has become a hot topic in the field of education.With its original views about teaching,it holds the idea that learning is a process for students to construct their knowledge actively.Based on an analysis about the constructivist view of teaching,this paper approaches the reform of college English teaching by calling for the opening up of a new teaching and learning prospects characterized by active construction,cooperative learning,and multilateral interaction with the aim of improving the quality of college English teaching.
