Abstract
Case-based teaching is a new way of teaching in the course of Fundamental Principles of Marxism.The choice of cases is important to satisfy the course objectives and teaching contents.Authenticity,typicality,novelty,vividness and inspiring are the criteria for case choice.Case presentation,group discussion,case report,class exchange,summary and extension are the basic steps of case teaching.Successful case teaching should focus on diversified teaching methods concerning teaching contents and the awareness of students' autonomy in the study of the course of the Fundamental Principles of Marxism.Case-based teaching has be proved to be the key to curriculum reform in the course of political and ideology in colleges and universities.
