Abstract

A phenol-sulfuric acid method was established for the determination of carboxymethylpachymaran in rabbits. The pharmacokinetics was investigated in five rabbits with single dosage of 2g/kg. The Cmax , tmax , t1/2(α), t1/2(β), AUC0→10h were (33.5±6.8)μg/ml, (17.5±9.7)min, (14.1±4.7)min, (65.6±24.5)min, (1674.5±533.6)μg·min·ml-1, respectively. The pharmacokinetic parameters conformed to a two-compartment model.
