Preliminary study on the relationship between top three leaves and grain weight of wheat

Abstract
The relationship between the top three leaves and the grain weight,the differences among varieties under the different treatment of leaf picking were studied.The result showed that:the effect of picking top three leaves on the grain weight was in the following order:the effect of flag leafthe effect of backward second leafthe effect of the backward third leaf.The influence of picking whole plant leaves on grain weight was greater than that of picking leaves from the main stem leaves.The 100 grain weight of more tiller type varieties after pick main stem leaves was reduced much more than that of picking the whole plant leaves.This is contrary to the changes of less tiller type varieties.
