On Reforming College English Teaching and Developing Reflective Teachers

With the society demanding for inter-disciplinary talents with a good command of English,there is an ever-increasing need for a higher quality of college English teaching. Thus,the task of English teaching reform falls on the English teachers. As the advocators and practitioners of the reform,they have done much in the reform. This paper briefly states the key role of the reflective teachers played in college English teaching reform,and then puts forwards suggestions for how to be the reflective teachers on the basis of five models with the aim to help college English teachers to realize self-development in the process of their teaching practice.
