Abstract
Pre-service English teachers are required not only to be proficient in English but also to acquire a series of other essential qualities.On the basis of the researches in retrospect on structures of English teacher quality,this paper distils the required qualities other than English proficiency and presents some suggestions on training strategies of these qualities.
