Abstract
A novel coordination polymer [Zn(nicotinate)2(H2O)4]n was prepared by hydrothermal synthesis and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.Single crystal X-ray analysis and IR indicate that this compoud in monoclinic system,space group C2 with parameters: a=1.4183(4) nm,b= 0.68949(18) nm,c=0.8472(2) nm,α=90.00°,β = 118.178(4)°,γ=90.00°,V = 0.7303(3) nm3,Z=2,T=293(2) K, Dc = 1.736 g/cm3,μ= 1.727 mm-1,R1 = 0.0363,wR2=0.0773.
