Abstract
The purpose of this study is to establish experimental animal models about the injury of liver and kidney which are convenient for clinical practice, scientific research and teaching. We examined the changes of alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST)in serum and histopathological injury of liver and kidney after drenching carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)to chicken. The liver damage caused by CCl4 showed a cumulative toxic effection. The inductions of the serum transaminases were dependent on CCl4 dosage. The activity of ALT in the chicken serum revealed the induction tendancy with CCl4 dosage. The histopathological lesions in the liver were characterized by typical vacuolar degeneration.
