Abstract

Genetic polymorphism and cluster analysis on Boer and Shanxi native goats (Yangcheng White、Licheng Daqing、Luliang Black) werestudied using randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) technique, the results of this study indicatedas follows:1)The DNA of 4 breeds provideda great number of molecular markers with high polymorphism. One hundred and five loci were generated, 67 loci (63.81%) of which were highly polymorphic and 38 loci were commonfor all samples. Every single primer generated three to ten RAPD bands and all amplified DNA fragments in length were between 200~3252 bp withpolymorphic frequency from 50%~81.8%.2)Cluster analysis showed that the Shanxi native goats had a larger genetic distance with Boer, Licheng Daqing and Yangcheng White from alike region had a smaller distance. Luliang Black had its special genetic characteristics.3 ) According to the theory of heterosis and analysis on the genetic diversity of 4 breeds, the higher heterosis may be gained in cross combination betweenBoer and Luliang Black.
