Abstract
A xylanase producing strain of Aspergillus sp. Sch 89 02 that could degum ramie fiber was isolated from a ramie storage. The optimal medium for xylanase production was composed of ρ= 250 g/L potato, ρ=5 g/L xylan, and ρ=3 g/L NH 4NO 3. The optimal culturen temperature and initial pH for xylanase production were 30℃ and 7.0, respectively. The optimal pH and temperature for xylanase reaction were 4.2 and 50℃, respectively. The enzyme was incubated for 15 min at 60℃ and residual activity was 45%.
