Abstract
Objective To investigate the significance of NF kappa B's expression in endothelial cell atherosclerotic peripheral artery. Methods Endothelial cells in arterial vascular vessels(one group deriving from the atherosclerosis patients; the other group deriving from the normal persons) are detected NF kappa BP65 protein, ICAM 1 and VCAM 1 expressions by immunohistochemistry staining. Results (1)The expression of NF kappa BP65 protein, ICAM 1 and VCAM 1 in endothelial cells is much more prominent than that in the normal persons ( P 0 001). (2)NF kappa BP65 protein and ICAM 1 expressions are related in linear regression (b=0 802, P 0 001), as well NF kappa B protein and VCAM 1 expressions (b=0 711, P 0 001). Conclusion The NF kappa B activation enhanced the ICAM 1 and VCAM 1 expressions, which accelerate the development of atherosclerosis in arterial vascular vessels.
