Abstract
OBJECTIVE To observe and study the efficacy and safety of miconazole in treatment of recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis during pregnancy so as to understand its application value in pregnant women.METHODS A total of 74cases of recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis during pregnancy, who were treated in the hospital from Apr 2010to Feb 2013,were enrolled in the study and randomly divided into the control group(the clotrimazole group)and the observation group(the clotrimazole combined with miconazole group),with 37cases in each, then the total clinical effective rate, incidence of adverse reactions, and score of symptoms and signs before and after treatment were observed and compared between the two groups.RESULTS The total clinical effective rates of the patients with difference severities in the observation group were respectively 100.00%and 94.12%,higher than the control group. After the treatment, the scores of the pruritus, abnormal vaginal discharge, and mucosal congestion of the observation group were respectively(0.34 ±0.06)points,(0.50 ±0.08)points,and(0.36 ±0.05) points, better than the control group, with statistical significance(P0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was 5.41% in both groups, and the difference was not statistically significant.CONCLUSION Miconazole can achieve good efficacy and safety in the treatment of recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis during pregnancy, with high application value in the pregnant women.
