Abstract

Mobility is one of the new services that have been introduced due to the development and popularity of the Internet. IETF mobile IP is one of the current mobile IP solutions. This paper introduces the working mechanism of mobile IP and its efficiency problem in routing, as well as a compromise scheme which improves the efficiency within a local area network.
