Zhangyongkang Himself and His Poem

Zhang Yongkang is an outstanding poet in Qing dynasty of northwestern Guizhou province.He is moderate and debonnaire,deeds accord with words,bright and generous,and he makes morality,contribution and ideas in writing as a life goal,realizing his life ideal of cultivation of morality,keeping family in order,management of state affairs and a peaceful country.His poem starts from Song meaning to Tang style,graceful and unconstrained.He is either good at the ancient song poem or he creates lots of the contemporary poem,and these poems show the charm of Tang and moral character of Song.Influenced by Wen Tingjun,Li Shangyin,Li Bai,Du Fu,Bai Juyi,Han Yu,Su Shi,Huang Tingjian and so on,his technical poem style forms simplicity and elegance.His graceful and unstrained poem and word style does not yield to Su and Xin,as depressed as Zimei,more graceful than Wen and Li.His success of poem comes from his love for poem and learning from the former poets.He has a great influence upon the Northwestern and even Guizhou literary world,winning a popular praise.
