A Brief Analysis of the Unique Aesthetic Style of Zheng Zhen's Poem

As an outstanding representative of Song Poem Sect in modern days, Zheng Zhen kept the keynote of this sect. He could bring forth new ideas on the basis of studying the ancient and make his poem take the course of its own. Comparing Zheng Zhen's poem with that of Han Yu, Bai Juyi and Su Shi, we can draw the following conclusions. Relying on his deep accumulation of study on the Confucian classics, Zheng Zhen could blaze new trails from the ancient and form his unique style. His poem, confiding the boldness of Su Shi's poem, is full of sincerity. The weirdness and grandness of Han Yu's poem are compared with the simple style of Zheng Zhen's poem. Zheng Zhen could unite his unique style with the plainness of Bai Juyi's poem.
