Abstract

Objective To understand the clinical influence of continuous epidural anesthesia in the process of labor during painless delivery. Method 820 primipara were chosen as the subjects for study and randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group. The primipara in the experimental group were administered with continuous epidural anesthesia while the control group were administered without. The data, namely, the analgesic effect, delivery methods, postpartum hemorrhage, labor and complications,of both groups were collected and analyzed. Findings The total analgesic effect of the experimental group was 95. 12% and level 0 was 76. 59%. The level 0 of the control group was 9. 27%. There were significant differences in analgesic effect(P 0. 05). The labor and childbirth of the experimental group were significantly better than that of the control group( P 0. 05). The postpartum hemorrhage observed in the experimental group was significantly less than in the control group( P 0. 05). There was no significant difference in adverse symptoms such as fetal asphyxia and fetal distress( P 0. 05). Conclusion The continuous epidural anesthesia can effectively reduce the pain of puerpera during childbirth, resulting in painless delivery.
