Physical Education in Modern Schools:Sports Spirit Should be Equally Important as Physical Health Education

According to the objectives of our school physical culture education and considering the reality that most of the students are the One-child in the family in China,the authors of this paper try to analyze the physical and mental characteristics of the One-child group and the important role that sports spirit plays in the school education and point out the cut-in points for the physical education in modern schools. It is elaborated in the paper that the target for the physical education in modern schools must be set properly;it must always stick to the idea of health firsthand the physical education must be based on the cultivation of sports spirit. Only in doing so,can the perfect combination of sports spirit with physical education be accomplished for the physical education in modern schools.
