Abstract
In this study, a total of 269 soil samples were collected from a major tobacco growing areas of Huili, and the soil nutrient contents were analyzed. Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was used to evaluate soil fertility of dry-red soil, red soil, brown soil, yellow-brown soil, purple soil, paddy soil and limestone soil. The evaluation results showed as follows. The fertility index of seven soils was in the order of limestone soil yellow-brown soil paddy soil red soil brown soil purple soil dry-red soil. Most of limestone soil and yellow-brown soil belonged to gradeⅠ, paddy soil was classified as grade Ⅱ and grade Ⅲ, and brown soil and purple soil and dry-red soil were mostly classified as grade Ⅳ, and red soil distributed evenly in all the levels. The fertility of each soil types varied widely and was better in limestone soil, yellow-brown soil and paddy soil than the others. The fertility of red soil, brown soil, purple soil and dry-red soil should be improved according to the specific situation.
