Abstract
By using twelve inbred lines of maize, 35 crosses were made according to incomplete diallel crosses of 7×5, twelve agricultural characters, such as the general combining ability of grain yield etc. were studied. The result indicated that two maize inbred lines of 185M and 262M in P1 group had higher GCA effect, ZaN and 921211 occupied second place, 212B in P2 group had higher GCA effect, next in importance were 5H113 and 4H1B3. Inbred lines of maize which have higher GCA effect should be used as the parents of crossing, so that hybrids of strong heterosis were crossed.
