Abstract

By using thirteen inbred lines of maize 40 crosses were made according to incomplete diallel crosses of 8×5,twelve agricultural characters were studied, such as the general combining ability of grain yield etc.The result indicated that four maize inbred lines 2321,212B,4H-1B2 and 5H-113 in these materials had higher general combining ability effect.Inbred lines of maize which have higher general combining ability effect should be used as the parent of crossing. So that hybrids of strong heterosis were crossed.
