Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effects of flavonoid of Cortex Mori(FCM)on the contraction of isolated guinea-pig tracheal smooth muscle in vitro.Methods:Guinea-pig tracheal smooth muscle was isolated and its contraction was induced by acetylcholine(Ach),histamine(His)and CaCl2.The antagonistic effects of FCM were studied. Results:FCM could shift the concentration-response curves of histamine.Acetylcholine and CaCl2 to the rightward and the maximal effects were decreased. In addition,FCM could affect the contraction of calcium transporting into cell. Conclusion:FCM could inhibit the contraction of isolated guinea-pig tracheal smooth muscle induced by Ach,His and CaCl2.
