The Confucian master LIAO Ping is known for his proficient knowledge of social etiquette and heritage system,whose attainment goes beyond the prior generations.The study of LIAO Ping's study experienced six changes with its most impressive one and change the most impressive.LIAO's modern-oriented and ancient-suppressed study has two major social and academic benefits;the spirit of doubting about history and his thought of restructure led to the reform movement and the ideological liberation movement,thus initiated the ancient history defense movement aiming to rearrange the ancient Chinese civilization and history.Even though,with several times of changes,LIAO remained his Confucian classic which was a statute of ancient-based reform and tradition-oriented change.Therefore,LIAO's academic study has the function of inspiring national pride.But with the limitation of time and geography,the western new doctrine and theories conducted limited influence on LIAO's study,which resulted in six changes without finished power as an indicator of the inevitable trend from the traditional classics to modern one.
