Surpassing to the tradition of urban romantic novels: the narrative art of Zhang Ailing's Legend

Abstract
It is well known that Zhang Ailing's works is under the influence of Chinese ancient romantic novels of city, however, it is also the truth that the artistic attainments of Legend have surpassed the style of traditional novels and had modern criterion by its narrative time, vision, words and structure. Zhang Ai-ling's works is the modern manifestation on the life style and destiny of human beings which lived between old times and new times.
