A Study of Relationships Between Thinking Styles and Creative Inclination

Abstract

This study was designed to examine the relationship between thinking style and creative inclination. Sternberg's Thinking Style Questionnaire and Williams's Creative Inclination Questionnaire were used to college students. It was found that thinking style was closely related to creative inclination. Those with higher score of creative inclination showed some significant differences in some dimensions of thingking style. Besides, the differences of thinking styles between specialities and between male and female were also discussed.
