Clinical observation of midazolam combined fentanyl for epidural anesthesia

Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect of midazolam combined fentanyl for epidural anesthesia. Methods 86 patients from our hospital with epidural anesthesia were divided into the control group(43 cases) and the intervention group(43 cases) according to different methods of anesthesia,the control group patients were treated by droperidol and fentanyl,the intervention group patients were treated by midazolam and fentanyl,the patients with intraoperative vital signs,sedation,anterograde amnesia and anesthesia evaluation were observed.Results Patients in the intervention group in the level of sedation,anterograde amnesia after surgery and anesthesia were better than the control group,there were significant difference(P 0.05). But in the two groups of patients vital signs were no significant differences(P 0.05). Conclusion Midazolam and Fentanyl epidural block as adjunct to surgery,has a good sedative effete,to reduce the negative memories and to improve surgical anesthesia satisfaction rate,it is worth in clinical promotion.
