Abstract
Objective To investigate the CT characteristics of desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT) occurring in abdomen and pelvis. Methods Clinical data and CT images of 6 patients with DSRCT whose lesions occurring in abdomen and pelvis were retrospectively analyzed in combination with literature review. Results According to the CT manifestations,DSRCT could be divided into three types:①Peritoneal soft tissue mass (single or multiple,n=3),characteristiced with single or multiple tumors in the peritoneal cavity, inhomogeneity, with calcification; ②Diffuse irregular peritoneal thickening type, without any distinguishable peritoneal masses (n=1); ③Soft tissue mass originated from organs of the abdomen (pelvis) or retroperitoneal, irregular mass, inhomogeneity with punctate or patchy calcification (n=2). Conclusion CT manifestations of the DSRCT occurring in the abdomen and pelvis are variety, and are indistinguishable from other diseases.
