Challenges Faced by the Modern Chinese Political History and Corresponding Reflections

This paper, based on the academic study of the author for years, reflects upon the academic road and direction of modern Chinese Politics. In the historiography field, there was the variability upheld by Political History research and invariability advocated by Social History research. As there were enormous gaps between them, this influenced the academic development of the two subjects. Therefore mutual understanding and reflections must be carried out among political history, social history and cultural history so as to advance the research into modern history. Besides, various subjects like political science and new thoughts like modernism shall be reefed to, so that the history can approach facts more accurately.
