Institution-building of East Asian Cooperation

While the Startup of East Asian regional integration, the East Asian countries have been building up the multilayer regional cooperative institutions. At the present, the framework of East Asian cooperative institutions is called for ASEAN plus Three or 10+3. There are a lot of mechanisms within this framework, such as 10+3 summit, 10+1 summit, Chinese-Japanese-Korean cooperative arrangement, ministerial meetings, multilateral mechanisms in the Mekong basin and Northeast Asia, and some track-two arrangements. This regional framework has become a common platform of cooperation for the East Asian countries. Going along with deepening the regional cooperation, the East Asian institutions will be completed and upgraded so that the process of regional integration may be accelerated.
