Psycholinguistic Analysis of Metaphor

Abstract

Metaphor is important to understand the underlying meaning.Conceptual metaphor,visual metaphor and spatial metaphor are introduced and metaphorical thinking way is recognized.Psycholinguists propose that metaphor is a means of conceptualizing the everyday knowledge and experience,and reflects people's thinking ways.Through the analysis of the metaphorical language,people can achieve more understanding of metaphorical language.
