Abstract
Objective To observe the effects of Huangqi Jianzhong(HQJZ) Decoction on the expression levels of matrix metalloproteinase 9(MMP-9) and tissue inhibitors of matrix metalloproteinase 2(TIMP-2) in rats with gastric mucosal injury.Methods Forty SD rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:Sham-operation group,model group,ranitidine treated group and HQJZ Decoction treated group.The model of gastric mucosal injury was induced by improved Okabe's method.The expression levels of MMP-9 and TIMP-2 of gastric mucosa were assayed by immunohistochemical method.Results The level of MMP-9 in model group was significantly higher than that in sham-operation group(P0.01),and in treatment groups it was significantly lower than that in model group(P0.01).The expression level of TIMP-2 in model group was significantly lower than that in sham-operation group(P0.01),while in treatment groups it was significantly higher than that in model group.The expression level of TIMP-2 in HQJZ Decoction treated group was significantly higher than that in ranitidine treated group(P0.01).Conclusion HQJZ Decoction repairs gastric mucosal injury by regulating the expression levels of MMP-9 and TIMP-2.
