Abstract

Clutch control is an important aspect of automated mechanical transmissions. Control theory and technology were studied to solve the problem of clutch control. Control theory was used to develop a model of the clutch mechanism and the control methodology to study the friction work and the starting jerk. The jerk of cluth at each gear was studied by way of combining human subjective evaluation and test data together, and a rule optimizing the clutch control at each gear was given according to the test result. The control method can be used for optimized clutch control.
