Abstract
The vehicle starting and shifting performances and life of the clutch are directly affected by an appropriate formulation of clutch control law for AMT transmission.According to starting conditions,the clutch engagement control objective was specified,and a two-level fuzzy controller was designed aiming at a fast engagement and less clutch friction,the SimDriveline tool was used for modelling the vehicle transmission system and simulative checking the control algorithm of starting process.The results show that the control method is effective in accelerating engagement process,significantly reducing the clutch friction power and limiting the impact to the reasonable scope.
