Abstract

In Ming Dynasty,model of calligraphy won popularity,and cursive script and running hand were fruitful.Forms were advocated in creating calligraphy at that time.WANG Duo's cursive script has attained the greatest accomplishment in the contrast of the fair strokes and unusual strokes,the arrangement of characters,the comparison of the dark full-bodied ink and dry-brush strokes and so on.All of those exactly embody the effect of advocating form.Therefore,he was the most representative calligrapher in Ming Dynasty cursive history.
