Abstract
Rear earth complex was synthesized by reaction of europium chloride with 1,10-Phenanthroline(Phen) and salicylic acid(HSal) in ethanol solution. The product was characterized by element analysis,IR,UV,TGA and fluorescence spectra. The results showed that the complex possessed strong fluorescence for there existed effective energy transfer from cooperative ligands to Eu~(3+) in the complex.
