The Study on Drugs Susceptibility of Ureaplasma Urealyticum Isolated from Women with Genitourinary Infection in Guangzhou

Objective For slowing down the increasing speed of the nongonococcal urethritis and getting it be controlled, providing the basis to use the antibiotic reasonably.Methods Ureaplasma urealyticum drug susceptibility has been monitored during the last four years, from 2000 to 2003.Ten drugs susceptibility have been tested for Ureaplasma urealyticum isolated in every year.Results The Doxycycline,minocycline and Azithromycin showed sensitive response in susceptibility test. The resistant rate of josamycin increased to a high level,from 7.6% in 2000 to 21.0% in 2003.Conclusion The tendency of drug resistant in Ureaplasma urealyticum was growing year by year. The ciprofoxacin showed a highly resistant in drug susceptibility test for Ureaplasma urealyticum isolates. To treat the infected patients with Ureaplasma urealyticum,we must select the antibiotics rationally according to the drug susceptibility test.
