Abstract
College English Curriculum Requirement(for trial implementation) issued by Ministry of Education has set new goals and targets for the teaching of college English in Chinese universities and colleges.Based on an analysis of the questionnaire on the present situations in learning English conducted to some first-year non-English majors,this paper goes into the aspects of the basic approaches,the key links as well as some measures taken in the college English teaching reform with the aim at developing Non-English major students' integrated English language competence at our college.
