Ideological Analysis of Political Discourse on President Obama's Inaugural Address

Abstract

Based on the theory of systemic functional linguistics,taking vocabulary,person,and modality as analytical tools,the author analyzes President Obama's inaugural address from the critical perspective in order to better understand the characteristics of political discourse as well as the ideology hidden behind it.
